Thanksgiving

Updated: Nov 27, 2019

Around Thanksgiving time we are often asked or we say what we are thankful for. The common things to be thankful for (that aren't bad to be thankful for) are:

  • Family (Parents, Siblings, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles)

  • Friends

  • Food

  • Home

  • Pets (Dogs and Cats)

Etc.

These are great things to be thankful for, but do we live like we are thankful for these things?

Sometimes it's easy to just say we're thankful for something rather than actually live it out. I'll give you an example.

You say you are thankful for your siblings, are you thankful when they annoy you?

You say you are thankful for your parents, are you thankful when they lecture you?

We need to live out like we are thankful and I'm not saying you aren't thankful for your siblings on days other than thanksgiving, I don't know you, I'm just

saying that you need to show them that you are thankful. Younger siblings look up to their older siblings. If you act like you aren't thankful for them but they hear you say you are during thanksgiving that is contradicting.

So the point of this blog post is to just say-

Be Thankful not just during thanksgiving time (although thanksgiving is a good reminder),

Be Thankful all year round and show it.

Thank your mom for dinner. Let your brother/sister pick the movie the two of you are going to watch.

Be kind to your boss and coworkers.

Be thankful and kind to the people around you.

Happy Thanksgiving!
